Meter Operations Internship

Smart meters are the next generation of electricity and gas meters – and we’re investing in them in a big way. Be involved and help us install, fix and maintain them, both on-site and remotely, using a variety of new technologies.

The project you’ll be working on

During the summer of 2017 a verification and review process will be required to ensure that, after the normalisation process, our field mentoring programme is still robust and fit for purpose. Your key objective will be to lead the assessment of the core training and mentoring activities to ensure that there has not been any degradation of content and process. Following the review period, you will deliver a report to provide a high level overview highlighting areas of concern and success in order to encourage ‘best practice’ across all geographical regions.

What we’re looking for

Through your studies you’ll possess electrical and/or gas engineering knowledge and have a solid understanding of process design and verification.

The desirable skills or experience we look for: background knowledge of technical regulations relating to electricity and gas metering.
