Business IT Placement

How do you shape the future through IT? We’re looking for the makers of tomorrow. The talented undergraduates with the ambition to run technical systems and processes for a digital company in the business of shaping the future.

The challenge
Immerse yourself in key areas of Siemens and learn how computing and IT systems shape our business and our wider impact on society. The goal? To put theory into practice, enhance your skills, and be ready for future graduate roles with us.

• Get exposure to a range of business and technology challenges

The candidate
Here’s what it takes to join some of the world’s brightest minds.

• Are an undergraduate studying for a degree in Business or Information Technology/Information Management combined with Business – and are on track to pass with a 2:1 or higher
• Are a curious self-starter and want to work in an environment where innovation has a real impact on the world
• Want to make a meaningful contribution to the organisation you work for and have a track record of achieving your goals
• Enjoy using technology in business operations to streamline how we do things
• Feel comfortable working away from home, in different cultural settings
• May have some experience in: Project Management, Operations Management and Quality Management, Service Management, Governance and Controlling, Requirements Definition/Enterprise Architecture

Location
The majority of our roles are based in Poole where we’re making cities smarter with transport-related technology, like traffic lights. But you’ll also get to travel to other locations in the UK and abroad. So you’ll need to go where this journey takes you. In return, you’ll get the chance to work with teams impacting entire cities, countries – and the shape of things to come.
