Legal Placement

Job Purpose:

To Support the Legal Department in the day-to-day work and administrative duties within the department

Core Responsibilities:

Broadly, the Porsche Legal Department manages the legal requirements of the UK Porsche Subsidiaries for the following business agendas:

  • Corporate Governance
  • Risk and Compliance
  • Commercial Operations
  • Record Creation and Retention

The legal intern is to operate in a similar capacity to a trainee solicitor, but within the organizational boundaries of the Legal Department.

On a daily basis, the intern will work with the Head of Legal and other members of the legal department assisting with the management and execution of:

  • Legal advice
  • Legal research
  • Drafting
  • Case management
  • Training
  • Commercial Transactions
  • Contentious commercial and IP matters
  • Compliance including Anti-Trust, Money Laundering, Bribery, Data Protection, Financial Services, Consumer Credit and Health and Safety
  • Corporate Governance
  • Law Enforcement issues
  • Department Administration

For our August 2017 programme, we are looking for a talented and dedicated law graduate who will play a fundamental role in day-to-day tasks and projects, giving you the opportunity to make a real contribution to our organisation and gain invaluable work experience. Candidates should be graduates in Law and LPC qualified, have good IT skills and be confident in written and spoken English. Experience of law firm life would be beneficial.

We offer a competitive salary, 25 days holiday, daily food allowance and a bus pass in the Reading area.
