Banking Placement

To be responsible for maintaining the PRG Bank Accounts, and Assisting & supporting the Management Accounts Team with their daily & monthly tasks.

Core Responsibilities:

Cashier Position:

• Morning update & periodic checks of 7 bank accounts throughout the day
• Daily printing of bank statements
• Advise centre personnel of incoming customer funds on a timely basis
• Responsible for all bank statement entries being posted to Purchase/Sales & nominal ledgers on a daily & monthly basis
• Input & processing of daily telegraphic transfers
• Weekly & monthly reconciliation of bank accounts
• Advise Barclays of stopped cheques as & when required

Supporting the Purchase Ledger

• Adhoc processing & scanning of supplier invoices
• Set-up & amendments to Supplier account

Weekly processing of Road Fund License costs

• Responsible for posting all RFL costs to appropriate sold vehicles in order to meet month end deadlines

Adhoc tasks

• Monthly analysis of fuel spend
• Monthly Legal, Business entertaining & Goodwill expense analysis for tax purposes
• Monthly preparation & submission of Intrastat for PRG & PDGB
• Weekly analysis of centre rectification and goodwill expenditure

This is an opportunity to join one of the most desirable car companies in the automotive industry and support the busy Finance team in delivering excellence across the Retail Group, giving you the opportunity to make a real contribution to our organisation and gain invaluable work experience. Candidates should be studying a Finance or accounting degree, be confident in written and spoken English and have excellent interpersonal skills. Preferably have strong IT Skills, particularly MS Excel and knowledge of CDK would be beneficial.
