Private Banking Internship
If you share our passion for client service, and are curious about what we do to meet their needs, the join us on a summer internship. All we ask is that you’re in penultimate year of your degree, and we’ll give you the support you need to kick-start your career.
Coutts and Adam & Company make up a key part of our Private Banking business, based in the RBS Commercial & Private Banking franchise. We work with Commercial Banking to provide private banking and wealth management services to our high net worth clients, including leading entrepreneurs, landowners, and famed sportspeople and entertainers.
What you can expect
As a Coutts or Adam & Company intern you’ll join us for ten weeks, including a one week induction and nine weeks with a Private Banker. You’ll have the opportunity to attend client meetings and events to see how we build relationships, understand our clients’ needs and provide advice.
During your ten weeks, you’ll enjoy a two day induction with RBS, followed by two days introduction to Coutts and Adam & Company and a Private Banking day. We’ll give you an insight into credit theory with systems and application training. You’ll also attend presentations from Managing Directors to get an in-depth insight into the world of Private Banking.
You’ll have a great support network, including our graduate alumni, line managers and a buddy. You’ll also have the opportunity to meet with senior managers and provide feedback to shape our business through an assessed individual presentation and report.
Who we’re looking for
We’re looking for interns whose positivity and passion for client service matches our own. You’ll be a clear communicator and be able to build relationships quickly. You’ll be keen to learn, roll your sleeves up and get involved in the day to day work of managing a client portfolio.
