About RBS

A programme with us is about more than just the chance to learn. It’s about making a difference. It’s about applying your talent, and turning your ideas into actions. That’s why we’ll support you, and give you every opportunity to make your mark. If you have talent, energy, and the commitment to help shape our business, a career with us is a challenge that will inspire and motivate you.

We want you to make a real contribution to RBS. You can look forward to early responsibility, exposure across different business areas, exceptional training, and the chance to develop skills that will shape the rest of your career. And then there are your colleagues, buddies and managers, who’ll encourage you to share your opinions and ideas, helping you reach your full potential.

Analysis & Business Solutions Internship

If you’re analytical and a great communicator, and want to learn more about what we do, join us for a summer internship. You’ll need to be in your penultimate year of your degree, and we’ll help you to develop unique skills, as you help make an impact on one of our business areas.

Our teams keep the wheels of the bank turning. We provide innovative solutions to make our customers’ experience with us the best it can be and we want our graduates to be a part of this journey. We have high connectivity with all the customer facing divisions of the bank.

At the heart of Analysis & Business Solutions is an innovative streak that sees us continually looking for new and better ways to serve our customers. We work closely with our colleagues across the bank to deliver the solutions they need to achieve our business strategy goals.

What you can expect

You’ll start with a two day induction alongside other interns, including an introduction to banking, key skills workshops and an overview into the various areas that you’ll be connected with during your internship.

After your training you’ll join your assigned team for a 10 week placement, and there are several areas to choose from. You could join Shared Services where we look at high quality bank wide services, or Payments where we shape our payment strategy and facilities, or help us translate business strategy for our Customer Franchises. You could even share your ideas and create insight in Design, or help Transformation to implement customer focused and strategic change programmes.

Whichever part of the business you join, you’ll be making an important contribution, and your initiative, passion and hard work will play a part in building a bright future.

Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for people who share our passion for customer service. You’ll be an effective communicator and look forward to working with key stakeholders across our business.

We need you to be confident and analytical with an eye for spotting opportunities to make things better. You’ll always be motivating yourself and others to be the best that they can be.

Whatever your degree discipline, we welcome your application and ask that you’re on course for at least a 2:2. You don’t need any specific UCAS points.
