Commercial Banking Internship
We’re looking for interns who share our unwavering focus on customers, and are curious about what we do to meet their needs. All we ask is that you’re in penultimate year of your degree, and we’ll give you the support you need to kick-start your career.
Our Commercial Banking business is home to a great pool of talent, from Business Specialists to Relationship Managers. Our common goal is serving our customers well. Together, we match suitable products and services with our clients and customers to help them reach their long-term goals.
Our interns spend 10 weeks with us, including a one week induction, and you’ll get a great insight across a specific areas of Commercial Banking. You’ll be based in London, Birmingham, Manchester or Edinburgh. And you’ll enjoy workshops, a spotlight session, a Commercial Project and much more.
What can you expect?
We have a variety of areas for you to learn from. Our Transaction Services UK and Mentor areas bring together treasury and banking solutions for clients, alongside consultancy services in employment law & HR, and health & safety. From supporting UK businesses and managing our capital in Capital & Transaction Management, and taking care of our customers’ finance needs in Large Corporates and Sectors, to shaping our strategic agenda in Customer Experience, Business Control & Business Transformation - our areas unite to deliver a great service for our customers.
You can see how our Corporate & Commercial Coverage teams provide relationship based banking to UK businesses to support their future growth, or you could gain valuable experience working in our Chief Operating Office, which unites areas who are improving the experience for our customers and colleagues.
Or you could join our Real Estate experts, as they provide financing to the real estate and property sector with a strong commitment to our customers evolving needs. You could even be helping Lombard Asset Finance and RBS Invoice Finance provide their award-winning products to our customers.
Who we’re looking for
We’re looking for students who share our passion for outstanding customer service. You’ll enjoy engaging with key stakeholders across our business and building trusting relationships. We’ll also look to you to bring your analytic and people skills, which are essential within Commercial Banking.
A can-do attitude, and engaging and friendly approach will make sure you can make the most of your experience with us.
