UKAR is simply short-hand for UK Asset Resolution. We were established by the Government in October 2010. We work on behalf of the UK tax payer, helping to manage the mortgages of NRAM and Bradford & Bingley since they closed to new business.

Financial Operations Placement

This placement opportunity is with Financial Operations and will be tailored to meet your aspirations and development goals.You will be required to work independently on your own projects allowing you to use your own initiative whilst also working within a team. We also provide the opportunity to build uponyour existing knowledge of the finance sector.

Your placement will be supported by the Learning & Development Team to ensure you will gain and develop the skills required for a business environment.

This is a unique opportunity to be part of an interesting department and work as part of the Financial Operations team. As part of this opportunity you will support the Finance & Investment teams through a broad range of strategic changes, broadening your experience in Finance & Investment.

As part of this placement you will:

• Provide day to day administration and maintenance of core finance and reporting systems
• Be conducting and monitoring key mortgage, banking and finance system controls and risks
• Perform Business Analysis tasks for Finance Projects and change initiatives
• Gain an insight into project life including project methodologies, planning and governance

Requirements for the placement:

• An understanding and interest in Finance
• An interest in Project Work
• Ability to communicate effectively
• An interest in finance general ledger and financial reporting systems
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• An analytical mind
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel & Word
• A 2:2 or above in a business related Degree
