To plan and maintain daily Supply Chain operations in one functional area such as materials, production, inventory, logistics, customer service, demand management or order fulfilment. Ensures internal and external customers' expectations and requirements are met. The experience gained will assist the successful candidate in applying practical knowledge to their final year studies.

Responsibilities

  • Working as part of a Global team with contact on a daily basis with plants in Stamford, Kent, Mexico, China, India, Fridley, Romania.
  • Working with global suppliers in on a daily basis in China, India, UK, Mexico, Romania.
  • Develop planning system strategies to improve signals to the supply base.
  • Monitor and adjust parameters in the planning system.
  • Use common processes tolls and information systems.
  • Analyse and interpret Key Performance Indicators to identify areas for improvement and action plans.
  • Execute the daily operational planning process within a specified functional area.
  • Identify potential supply chain failures as part of the planning process and mitigate associated risks.
  • Work closely with suppliers to develop short term tactical improvements.
  • Use the planning system to drive consistent planning signals to the supply base.
  • Monitor and adjust parameters in the planning systems.
  • Participate in functional process improvement teams.

Training Provided

  • A comprehensive induction programme as well as role specific training.
  • Individual training to suit particular business skills required by the business or identified by the candidate.

Qualifications

Education, Licenses, Certifications
Currently studying a degree in a relevant area.

Skills

  • Supply Chain Knowledge, Business Studies.
  • Knowledge of Inventory Control and Management.
  • Knowledge of Logistics.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to present data and trends in an easy to understand manner.

Experience

Minimal relevant experience required. Develop supply chain reporting to make Supply Chain performance and trends visible to leadership team. Conduct analysis and improve existing processes to understand order intake, production and inventory. Run, improve and develop data models to conduct business analysis and forecasting of inventory. Conduct performance analysis of the plant, line of business and product level. Responsible for the integrity and consistency of the data and analysis. Prepare and assist with Global Supply Chain tracker reviews and drive commentary, conclusions and communications.
