Communications – Multimedia Design Placement

This is an exciting new opportunity for a Media and Communication student to be part of a global team. Based in Aberdeen, the primary function of the Multimedia Designer will be to assist in the training of Subsea Field Service Engineers using 3D modelling and animations.

Essential Responsibilities

Work closely with cross-functional project teams and SMEs (Subject Matter Experts) to develop and build innovative and engaging training material. You will be responsible for designing, planning, and executing learning and training material for GE products and services that will be:

  • Based on clear design documents and in accord with established industry standards and guidelines.
  • In conformance with all applicable GE standards
  • In accordance with Instructional Design best practices
  • Developed using appropriate tools and technologies
  • Based on input and sign off from SMEs to ensure completeness and accuracy
  • Composed using graphics and 3D modelling
  • Focussed on clearly defined learning objectives and information needs of the target audience

Assist the Field Service Instructors with:

  • Performing training analysis
  • Developing training objectives
  • Writing storyboards for training objectives
  • Design and develop prototypes

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Currently studying in Media and Communication / Multimedia Design related discipline

You will be guided by structured goals & objectives and will have responsibility to deliver on inspiring projects. We will support you throughout the year to ensure you make the best of your GE experience. Your manager will offer coaching and mentoring, and the Company will provide the opportunity to connect with other interns across the UK.

Our internships will start in July or August 2015 for a duration of 12 months.
