The Role
I enjoyed some of the work events that happened and some of the lab work but some bits of the work I did wasn't very interesting to me or relevant to my university course.
It varied, most of the time it was a good balance but towards the end few weeks it was busy due to work being delayed for internal reasons.
Some very useful skills gain and good training. Not very much was relevant to the degree i am taking.
The Company
Quiet most of the time but was interesting when we did talk.
They had a plan for the work i was doing since before i came here so i was able to jump strait back into it.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
Working from home
I will be back working for them as I am contracted in.
The Culture
As it was a summer placement I didnt get much time to get to know many of them before they left and none of the new ones had started by the time i will be leaving.
It was okay due to staying with friends but still hard to save any money at all. This will be even worse if/when they move down to Porton and shutdown the Fort.
Terrible. Unless traveling into London but never had the money to do that.
There were things to do outside of work but all of them have downsides.
