  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I really enjoyed my placement in the HR department of VWG UK, the people at head office are amazing to work with.

  • Great emphasis is placed on recognizing the achievements of others and time is regularly taken out to note team and personal achievements.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • The management team provided guidance on the role from day 1- There was also lots of opportunity to attend training.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • The role was very busy and really demands great time management. I enjoyed this though at times did feel the team was under resourced.Time flew by.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was given lots of responsibility and enjoyed being in control of managing my own workload and deadlines.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I really see the skills I developed in time management, attention to detail and communication will be invaluable in the future.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Very good- the department really got on well with each others and this made the atmosphere really enjoyable.

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • The work placement overall was well organised, more focus could have been put on picking up with the undergraduate cohort at more intervals throughout the placement- rather than the start and end as a means to be able to reflect on placement with stakeholders other than direct supervisors.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Training was excellent and i took advantage of many training courses, some were on site others off site which made a great change to the average working day.

  • The company is fantastic to work for and I would recommend to friends and family.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Yes , however Milton Keynes isn't the most student friendly city.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Fairly expensive, accommodation is relatively pricey as it seems to house commuters to London so prices are a little more than you would hope for basic rent properties.

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • There are clubs in MK, however the short commute to London is an advantage.

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Social activities are advertised on the Group Website.
