The Role
Absolutley loved working at Tesco's a great friendly and interesting environment to work in.
I was instantly treated as a member of the team and felt valued from the get go.
I had a buddy that was great at helping me, the rest of my team was also fantastic.
At first I wasn't as busy as I wanted to be but this soon changed after people knew me well and what skills I possessed, I also became more proactive when it came to asking for work.
I was given a tremendous about of responisibilty and was first hand working on deals, negotiations ect.
I developed an incredible amount over my 10 weeks and have learnt some invaluable skills.
The Company
Relaxed and friendly, a great environment to work in.
Well organised, but all interns had very different experiences in their own teams. Social events were left for the interns to organise - but this was not a problem.
My team and early careers team spent a lot of time mentoring me and helpping me develop.
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Working from home
Very appealing, the career prospects, especially the graduate scheme look great and I will be returning next year!
The Culture
Great social scene but left to the interns to organise. Social reps were elected and they organised the events. This worked well but may not always.
The area is relatively cheap but most socialising happened in London, which is expensive.
Nothing in the general area but very close to London- so great nightlife there.
Elected social reps organised many activities to attend.
