  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Felt part of the team. Lots of events to meet informally.

  • Regularly went for drinks with them and they gave me lots of responsibility.

  • Helped me through every task but also gave enough independence

  • A lot of work. But it depends on the desk. If you aren't working you will be shadowing/networking/attending presentations so constantly busy.

  • A lot. Made useful spreadsheets that they will actually use in the future but could also price trades.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Invaluable. Market awareness gained, especially thanks to having our own Bloomberg terminal. Skills you can't learn elsewhere.

  • Upbeat. Trading floor was always buzzing. Getting along with your team is a must and the days fly by.

  • We had our own Bloomberg. Lots of training sessions. Countless events.
