  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Very enjoyable. Great social side to the job.

  • Friendly, helpful people. Always willing to share their experience and knowledge.

  • Given good support, but also enough freedom to think for myself.

  • Workload vaired throughout the year. Towards end of placement, workload increased.

  • Given lots of responsibilty, far more than I expected. But was still given guidance and advice when needed.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Not returned to university yet, but feel have built massively on my knowledge and am much more confident going into final year having spent 11 months working with a team of knowledgable and succesful Building Surveyors.

  • HR very good with organising the induction process.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Payed for membership to RICS. Payed for subscription to CPD Foundation. Individuals receive separate budget for premium CPD events. C&W held internal seminars on APC competencies, for graduates. Department held internal CPD events with food and drink provided. Access to company wide- online based learning.

  • London is expensive, but salary exceeded that of placements outside capital.

  • Great stuff.

  • Surveyor 7's, 5 a-side. Softball in summer. All with budgets for food / drink.
