The Role
Kept busy, with a variety of jobs
Extremely. Within a few weeks, you can become part of the team
Excellent support from line managers
Sometimes it was too busy, e.g. peak...but that's retail! Balance was right with the ethics of work hard play harder
100% trust given to my straight away, you need to create your own reputation and then your responsibility increases.
much more focussed
The Company
Fun daily, and throughout my entire placement....when appropriate!
Very well structured and organised. Probable the best in the business. Scheme was fantastic
financially, I think I had more spent on me on training...than on my salary...which is fantastic! Lots of time and effort from management invested also
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
National Travel
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Above 25 days holiday
Currently going through a re-structure, so it's exciting times for new people. However, it's a big transition for the current staff. I would strongly recommend applying within 1 years time when everything is 'settled.
The Culture
Not many other placement people near me geographically, but lots of graduates who were loads of fun
Was tough, as I had to re-locate and my rent was more than I wanted to pay!
One word...NEWCASTLE! Quite tough to sample it when you work 40 hours a week though.
Lots going on in store with management colleagues. Outside of work...it is what you make of it.
