    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I really enjoyed the 9 weeks I spent with Allianz. Every single person I worked with was so lovely which made my time really enjoyable.

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Everyone was extremely welcoming. They asked me every lunch if I wanted to join them.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • They were always extremely happy to answer questions. I had regular catch ups with my mentor.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Occasionally was left with no work to do if everyone was extremely busy but this did leave me with time to do research using the intranet and gave me time to see what the other departments were doing.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was given the perfect amount of responsibility. I never felt like I was out of my comfort zone.

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I feel the skills I obtained were invaluable. I would have been extremely nervous going into a job and not knowing what an office was like if I had not completed this internship.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • There was a perfect balance between people having a chat and allowing everyone to get on with their work.

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • When I arrived everything was in place for me. I had my computer and logon already set up. I was given jobs to do as soon as I arrived and there was no delay in getting stuck into the job.

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • I had no extra support outside of the office but I do not feel like this was needed. I did not expect this to happen for an internship.

    3/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Flexi Time

    Subsidised Canteen

    Sports and Social Club

    Company Parties/Events

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?

  • Not that great, I am local to the area I worked in so knew what it was like. The interns still had a great night out when we went.
