  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?

    • Very interesting work, relaxed environment. Very well run - suitable work was set up for us upon arrival.

    • I was trusted to get the work done, and my opinions were listened to.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?

    • There was a senior engineer assigned as a mentor, who would help out with projects and had regular meetings to discuss progress, Anyone around the labs would help out if we were struggling.

    • It varied, but there was always some work to do.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?

    • All the projects I worked on were worked on entirely by placement students, and we were responsible for delivery and documentation, although everything was reviewed to provide guidance

    • Lots of useful technical skills that I had not previously encountered, as well as valuable 'soft' skills
