  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Due to the number of special activities and presentations put on for the scheme students we were offered a perfect balance of experiencing life as a working lawyer whilst having opportunities to work as a team with other participants and take part in innovative and exciting activities, whilst being offered a number of social events as well.

    5/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • The placement offered a variety of different experiences, from working on a large litigation case doing due diligence, to going to client meetings and taking attendance notes, and carrying out pieces of research for partners.

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • In my opinion participating in one of these schemes is invaluable to prepare you for working in a city law firm and indeed in the city in general. Not only does it give you an opportunity to get to know the firm and the people who you may be working with, or interviewed by, but it allows you to decide whether or not the city is for you. One of the most important factors in deciding which firm you choose, particularly in such a high pressured job, is whether you can see yourself working there and whether you can enjoy it.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
