The Role
I thought L'Oreal was a fantastic place for my internship as I was given so much responsibility from day one.
Very valued. As an intern you are given a great deal of responsibility so everyone's role is important.
I was given support/guidance when I asked for it after thinking of solutions to problems first!
Very busy every day - sometimes not enough hours in the day!
I was given an incredible amount of responsibility - even managing a major launch on my own.
My internship has given me a wealth of experience and helped me understand more about the marketing world. I have learnt skills including time management, organisation, prioritisation, communication skills and presentation skills.
The Company
A very happy and ambitious place to work. Everyone was very pro-active and enthusiastic.
It was very well organised as we had reviews at the start, middle and end of the placement which outlined key objectives I had to meet before the next review. This kept my placement focused and ensured I built upon skills.
I was taught how to use all the internal programmes in my role and I attended training workshops in the Academy to further my understanding of the products I was marketing which helped a great deal!

Very appealing. The company is fast-paced and ambitious and encourages you to think outside the box and be entrepreneurial.
The Culture
Yes there was a great social scene among fellow interns. We had intern nights out and L'Oreal organised a few events for us which brought us all together - such as the L'Oreal Intern Sports Day!
Working in Hammersmith meant I lived in the West of London so prices were fairly expensive but you can do things on a budget if you go out with a big group of friends!
It was great! Everyone went to the local pub on a Friday after work to socialise and there were plenty of bars and restaurants in the area.
There were a few opportunities - such as Yoga and there were various sports teams you could join!
