The Role
I have absolutely loved my time so far at L'Oreal (I am currently half way through.) I feel fully integrated into the company culture which is dynamic, friendly and fast paced.
I was immediately welcomed by my immediate team and feel fully integrated. I have been given my own responsibilities and have completed tasks that not only seem valued but have also helped me to learn exponentially and grow as an employee.
HR management have been excellent- very organised, helpful and offering above and beyond the training and support I expected.
Perfect balance- busy enough to never clock watch, yet comfortable enough to not have to stay up all night catching up.
I was given a lot of responsibility from the very beginning. I was working on projects for our DMI in France from the very beginning and was trusted with creating long, important powerpoint presentations and gathering and collecting raw data which I had to communicate with tables and graphs.
The skills gained and training received at L'Oreal will undoubtedly help me a lot in my future career, wherever it may be (ideally L'Oreal!!). Personal skills that I have developed (through managing priorities training, public speaking workshops etc.) will definitely help me in my final year at Exeter university when I return in September.
The Company
I was expecting the famous L'Oreal Culture to be quite buzzing and fun, but it really is so lively, friendly and dynamic from the minute you walk in the door. Within my team in the luxury division we got the perfect balance between work and keeping things fun. The canteen was a favourite place to take some time out or go for a more casual meeting.
Very well organised. There is a lot crammed into my 10 week internship!
A lot!! We have had so many enrichment talks, training workshops, one-on-one updates, inbox management sessions (the list goes on!).
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Working from home
Extremely appealling. I will be aiming to apply for the Management Trainee Scheme and will be very sad if I am unsuccessful!
The Culture
Very good. We have an intern committee who have organised some great events so far- sporting events, food events, nights out etc.
London being London- I was on a tight budget! The subsidised canteen really helped me out though and was a great place to spend time.
Great- although London is expensive I have had a really great time so far.
Lots of opportunities organised through intern committee. I have school and uni friends living in London too so I made sure I managed my evenings well so I had time to socialise too!
