The Role
I enjoyed interacting with customers but didn't enjoy the repetitive administration work or the antisocial hours.
I felt valued by my team and they were extremely helpful.
HR department and supervisors helped me with language problems and personal paperwork.
Once all of the tasks on the checklist were complete, if the hotel wasn't very busy, I wasn't busy.
I was given the same tasks as the other hotel receptionists, which involve quite a high level of responsibility.
Language skills will help with my degreee, customer services skills and knowledge of the industry will help me in the future.
The Company
Everyone got on well and was willing to give anybody a hand. Nice people.
It was well organised but could have had more information about my first day etc from the company more in advance. They were quick to process the paperwork i needed for my university.
Had a couple of training courses and helped me to strive to be the best.
I don't wish to continue in the hotel industry due to the alienating hours.
The Culture
Yes, we had a group of interns. We went on nights out and trips together.
Very cheap, it was in Spain.
Standard as it was a very small, old city. But the bars were fun.
No because I had different working hours every week.
