    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • Really enjoyed the insight. Lots of variety to my work and kept busy all the time. The socials were very enjoyable too.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?

    • I felt very valued, all my supervisors took the time to explain to me anything that I did not understand regardless of their seniority.

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?

    • Lots of guidance was received when I needed it, but I was here to learn and work things out myself so I received exactly the right amount, which was not too much!

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

    • They have given me the perfect insight in what I will need as I aspire to be a solicitor and will provide crucial context for my further legal studies. I shall use what I have learnt in my potential future career as a city solicitor.

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?

    • The insight was well structured. A good amount of talks and presentations without interfering too much with work. A couple of socials too made for a good balance.

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?

    • The atmosphere was very collegial, I felt as though I got to know everyone very well through the programme from my fellow vac schemers, to grad rec and my supervisors and other members of my department at the firm.

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?

    • They invested a significant amount, from socials, to the facilities on offer, which were all excellent.

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?

    • It is the most accurate representation of having a full time role on offer, unless you are actually employed as a solicitor.

    • The culture was apparent as soon as I got here and it is a very desirable culture to be a part of!

    • Very helpful, but more than a day, two weeks.

    • Yes - lots to take part in.

    • Original and different and fun in terms of socials. Networking was possible at all times.

    • Yes - the firm is very active outside of work and there is lots to get involved in.
