    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • was very satisfied. Despite being exhausted from such a full load of activities I felt the energetic nature of the firm and my department encouraged me to keep trying to improve and complete more tasks. My supervisor was really kind in explaining all the tasks thoroughly and clearly to someone who has not yet studied law, and took time from her day to discuss my findings and experience at length with me and clarify anything I did not understand. This has truly confirmed to me that my legal ambitions are well placed and I might even wish to qualify into banking (although that will be some years away!).

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • The social events were a highlight of the week and helped you feel valued because the trainees were very welcoming. Being able to talk to them in an informal setting actually presented the firm in a fantastic light because they were so positive about their training contacts even while at the pub!

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • I am a non-law graduate and was worried this may leave me in deep end but in a way it worked in my favour. I was guided through everything very thoroughly and people were always ready to answer questions.

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I learnt such a large amount in a small space of time. I found being asked to draft documents more formally and in the correct format particularly helpful as I haven't previously been exposed to the structure or language used.
