  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I absolutely loved my placement year.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • I worked in a very small team so always felt valued and supported by my colleagues, as well as the wider business.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Being in a small team I worked very closely with my line manager, often shadowing her role and simultaneously working on projects together.

  • On average my days were quite busy,

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • A lot of responsibility. I covered a managerial position for 3 weeks, had sole responsibility for some reporting and was often involved in projects outside of my daily role, spanning across various business functions.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Being able to combine real life experience with theory will ultimately give me a deeper understanding of PR strategy going forward in my studies and career.

  • The newly refurbished office is open, vibrant and aids collaborative working.

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • A full handover was prepared, as well as all necessary equipment and a plan for onboarding.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • I was able to get involved in many different projects, which deepened my knowledge of other business areas. Regular reviews were set up to aid my development. I didn't take part in any formal training but it was on offer.

  • This depends on your business function. There isn't a concrete graduate scheme set up yet.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • There was a large intern community with regular socials. The company also has regular socials.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • London being London is going to be expensive. The wage helps to offset this.

  • There is never a lack of pubs, clubs or bars to visit in London,

  • Lots of opportunity. There were regular socials, volunteering opportunities and team building exercises.
