The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed my internship at Language Connect. I think it's a great company that looks after its employees there is a nice atmosphere in the office. I met lots of new people even made some new friends.
I felt very valued by my colleagues. If I did something well, I was praised and everyone had a very positive attitude.
My supervisor was the best supervisor I could have asked for. She was incredibly patient, helpful and really, really nice so that I felt immediately welcome and never hesitated to ask a question if I had one. She was a great supervisor to me and I hope that many other interns will get the opportunity to work with her.
I was quite busy on a daily basis. My team members were taking turns in asking for my help with something, so I almost always had something to do. It certainly never got boring.
I was given quite a lot of responsibility. I was given my own small projects to manage and dealt with the client on the one side and the linguists on the other. It was extremely interesting and I took away a great set of new skills from this.
This internship was very rewarding. I have already finished my degree so it did not help me with my studies. I am actually staying at the company and I will start a permanent role which I am very happy about. In that sense the internship was extremely beneficial to me.
The Company
The atmosphere in the office was very nice. Everyone was very open and welcoming.
It was very well organised. The company has quite a few interns at a time which means they have to offer a good, organised internship programme. And they really do!
They invested a lot in me. I got my own personal mentor, who was more than happy to help me with any queries or questions I had. She also really took the time to train me and explain everything I had to know in detail.

The Culture
My fellow interns were great, we quickly became friends which made working here a lot of fun.
Well, LC is in London, so... the cost of living and socialising is very high.
London!
There were quite a few things going on. Work drinks, bake sales etc. which was really nice.
