The Role
I loved every minute on my placement. I feel like this position and this company have set me up perfectly to progress in both my career and the remained of my university life.
I felt highly valued in the departments operations and crucial in the roles I had been assigned. The team treated me as a full member of the department and never felt like "just an intern".
I was given training from everyone around me, There was a learning curve to the job, but once learnt I was constantly being given new responsibilities and tasks so It was constant support. That was in my role, there was also company based training which was added to help improve our general business and personal skills.
It varied from day to day depending on a number of factors. The role I was in was reactive; I had to respond to situations as they happened in the world so It would always depend on that. But in the general sense it all balanced out really well. I was always able to finish my work on time.
I was given a task to do and I was expected to complete it, to the time schedule, and to the expected quality. Yes, I had a manager who would sign off on my work and make sure it was correct, But overall I had complete control of my role.
The skills given to me through this placement have definitely defined the route I want to take in my future career. The experiences and the training will help me greatly in the future.
The Company
There was a good atmosphere in the office, However it is a place of work, so the atmosphere exists when everyone has a chance to look up from their screens and interact.
Everything in this placement worked fine, my induction was smooth and everything was easy for integrating.
The company let me have multiple training sessions on many topics, from how to present myself in business meetings to how the industry is changing for the future. I was also allowed to have days away form the office for meetings/conferences and conventions based on the placement.

Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Working from home
Travel loan
I have already been given a contract extension to stay on with them as long as possible with the possibility of further work.
The Culture
I know that there was a good atmosphere among other Interns, I personally ended up keeping myself to myself, but that was because I was very busy with work and commuted in, whereas other interns were local in London and socialising is easier.
I Lived at home and commuted in each day, so this makes it difficult to answer. The area of London where Warner is based isn't too bad compared to some areas of London.
I didn't get involved in the nightlife.
There was Premiers and early screener's of films/content which we were invited too outside of work. Beyond that there are a few bits and pieces but its mostly down to you and your department to arrange these things.
