  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • I thoroughly enjoyed the A&O First Open Day and it was the most enjoyable open day that I attended.

    • I was always able to speak to someone if I needed help and have felt supported on the scheme.

    • The day helped me to learn more about the firm and gather more information on the application process. It was also great to gain the contact details of a trainee who I have been able to keep in contact with.

    • The insight day was well structured and everything was well timed.

    • There was a pleasant atmosphere and everyone seemed very friendly.

    • The company invested in me by choosing me for this scheme, which is not for just one day. The trainee solicitor contact highlighted the investment in each student.

    • The day probably highlighted the role of a trainee to a greater extent than that of someone higher up in the firm.

    • The day had a speed networking section with employees from each field and I was able to network with trainees during the work shadowing section of the day.

    • The networking opportunities were fantastic and meant that I was able to gauge the work of each sector.

    • Yes I was informed of the social events at the firm and the emphasis placed upon Pro Bono work.

    • I would definitely recommend this opportunity as it allows you decide whether this is a firm you would like to apply to the following year for vacation schemes.
