  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Fantastic place to work, full of opportunities for individuals have the desire to achieve.

  • Colleagues would always make an effort to ensure I was happy in my role and that I understood what was required of me.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Having a line manager and weekly flash review meetings helped me through my 15 months with the organisation greatly.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • There were times when I would argue I was too busy, however I would argue that this was a consequence of me failing to manage my own work load rather than my managers expecting to much of me.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I had the opportunity to head up the marketing operations of the small business I was working in due to my line manager changing roles. The opportunities and responsibilities available at 3M are limitless if you have the drive and ambition to take things on!

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I would argue that my key skills such as interpersonal, time management and presentation have increased ten fold as a consequence of spending a year with 3M.

  • Great people around and that are always willing to assist with any issues.

  • HR and the business I was working in did a fantastic job.

  • Having the opportunity to take on training courses was a great perk.

  • I would certainly be interested in going back to the organisation if an opportunity were to arise.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Whilst we were a small group (the placement students), we interacted a great deal with the graduates and overall there was a good social scene,

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • When compared to other areas near by, not to bad at all.

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Reading was O.K., but Bracknell isn't really know for its night life.

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Despite there being very little in the way of night-life in Bracknell, there were opportunities to take part in many sporting events as well as some nights out in other near by areas.
