The Role
I very much enjoyed my placement. I feel as though I am a real part of the team, and I am treated as a full time member of staff with regards to my roles and responsibilities.
Again, I felt a real part of the team. I was always given jobs and tasks to complete which where meaningful and had a proper outcome that would affect our team.
I was given a lot of support and mentoring by my supervisor and manager. They were always available to help me when I needed, but also pushed me to gain the confidence to complete jobs by myself.
I was always very busy with many real time jobs and tasks to complete. I had numerous projects throughout the year which ended up in a positive outcome for our department.
I was given a lot of responsibility during my placement, from travelling abroad to buying stock and meeting suppliers.
The skills and training I have received will really help me in gaining future employment. They have helped me understand what is required in industry and what key aspects I need to learn in order to be successful in the future.
The Company
The atmosphere in our office was good. Everyone got on well and there was a lot of banter and general chat.
The placement was set up very well. We had everything we needed and were not short of support.
The company send me abroad to be trained on a computer system. They also put me on some in house training courses.

Very appealing. I would like to gain employment here in the future.
The Culture
There was a good social scene amongst most of the undergrads. We did make an extra effort to try and have social events.
I lived at home during my placement and travelled to work each day (24 miles away). That cost me roughly £55 per week.
The nightlife in the area is quite good. There are 2 university cities very close by (Liverpool and Chester).
There are some sports clubs that you can get involved with through work, however I chose not to as I already had sports clubs at home where I was living.
