    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • We were treated extremely well, all the teams i worked in were very friendly and the work, overall, was very enjoyable.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • I was treated far better than I had expected before the internship. On a professional level I was treated the same as Graduates and my work was really valued, on a personal level I formed good relationships with colleagues of all levels.

  • Guidance and support was given whenever I needed it.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • There were some days were I didn't have enough to do and of course I had to work very hard on other days, but this is expected and overall the level of work I was given was good.

  • On the second role that I had I was given large amounts of responsibility.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • The teamwork and adaptability have helped me so far in my first year degree.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • The manager's encouraged a relaxed and fun atmosphere, it made it exciting to come into work on a daily basis.

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • It ran very smoothly, I very rarely had to contact HR for any problems which is a sign it was run well.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • I really got a sense that Accenture were interested in developing my skills which made it a better internship.

  • I was accepted onto the Summer internship which I hope will lead to a full Graduate roll offer.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Yes, Accenture set up social arrangements for the interns but we also arranged nights out etc. amongst ourselves.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • It was in London so very expensive.

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • My first role did not have any Nightlife (in Crawley). The nightlife in my second roll was great fun (in Angel, London).

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • I did not take advantage of these as much as I should have but the opportunities were there, such as Charity days etc.
