  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?

    • It was a great year. I had the real feel of what means to put your Uni knowledge into practice. I wasn't marginalized and considered as a valuable team member.

    • Everyone will contribute to your development and will support you in your work.

    • The management was very nice, supportive. There is also a mentoring scheme which helped me a lot.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?

    • I was quite busy, but this depends to individual. Mostly all inters get the same amount of job so depends on the individual how he manages it.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?

    • The responsibilities are starting from low to high. I started handling small responsibilities and ended up in managing the team's budget and running my own project.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

    • I developed a lof of personal skills and soft skills. The team-work and communications skills will influence a lot during my final year.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?

    • The Bracknell office is quite nice. A lot of facilities, rooms, etc. However, I did not have a dedicated desk, and I am part of a global team.

    • It was well organized, I was involved in a lot of activities, and had the chance to work in other departments as well.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?

    • At HP you are open to a lot of trainings which you can proactively attend. The mentoring scheme will offer you a mentor, which will help you more with your development.

    • HP is willing to hire more interns each year.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?

    • It is not very expensive, I was paying £360 a month for a very good room in a shared house including bills.

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?

    • Bracknell is not nice, however reading is much better. I was leaving in Reading as well - its only 15 minutes drive from Bracknell.

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?

    • Yes, there are loads of them. But you should be proactive and look for those opportunities.
