About You
Really enjoyed it, well planned and unilever is such a great and forward thinking company ! I personally decided not to pursue that industry after finding more about it but to all those interested, I would recommend
There was so few of us on the spring week that we definitely felt like an exclusive group ! All the stuff we're really happy to talk to us from graduates to senior leaders
Again, everyone was ready to offer their own experiences of the programme and to help us prepare for the assessment centres and if we got the summer internship
Confidence from presentations and networking with a wide range of people, but as I am not interested in the industry, probably the information gathered won't be of great use
The Company
Great hotel location, never felt bored always something to do - to the point where I actually looked forward to going back to my room because days can get quite tiring ! We did office tours, talks, work shadowing and a product launch
Everyone was really fun and the HR staff were really approachable and easy to talk to which isn't always the case with other company spring weeks
There were not many opportunities for self development apart from when we had to do a presentation and we received group feedback. Apart from that there were not many others
We spoke to so many staff members that we were able to see a solid insight into unilever life
Every talk, staff member and every graduate spoke passionately about company culture and how the sustainability agenda was at the centre of Unilever's image. Also, they mentioned how open and humble every one was regardless of seniority.
It helped me decide that the industry was not for me but I know the majority did want to carry on working in the industry and found information useful
Everything Else
Repaid all expenses on travel - provided breakfast dinner lunch
Every activity involved this in a way, we even had dinner with senior leaders in our functions
Social events - we had games and networking events in the evening, and drinks - it was all a very chilled atmosphere. They took us to the free Ben and Jerry cart quite often and the Unilever shop with discounted products !
I guess it depended on departments how social or unsocial they were
Definitely, a well organised fun week with lots of free ice cream ! The hotel venue was great and really felt valued by unilever - a very good company
