  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Great overall experience. Met many new people and learnt very valuable skills

  • My colleagues recognised my hard work. I was given the responsibility of training up a colleague in an assay format.

  • Someone is generally always around to tell me what to do and provide me help.

  • Sometimes rather quiet, but lets you concentrate on your work

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • GSK underwent alot of reorganisation so sometimes hard to work around having to move labs, seeing people get made redundant, last minute meetings etc.

  • Very good training

  • Unsure about the future of GSK R&D as it has been, and maybe still is making employees redundant.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Other students were great, was like being at university but in a different setting

  • Not bad for living down south. There were plenty of places with good offers.

  • Not many places but you made the most of what you got

  • Need to use your initiative to find places and travel out of Stevenage.
