    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I loved it. I got to live the dream while at Disney and I felt like they gave me much more responsibilities that a regular intern would get. It was very fun and everyday there was something new I had to face.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Very valued, as stated above, I was given so much responsibilities that some projects/tasks depended on me to keep going smoothly.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Weekly catch ups and 1:1s with my manager really helped; in addition to them being very approachable, as was the rest of my team.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Some days more that others but since I thought of myself as proactive, I always had something to do.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • A lot of responsibility.

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I think I learned more in this one year as an intern at Disney than I did in 2 years of my degree prior to it. Putting everything into a practical sense really helped me learn and do things correctly and with a lot of creativity.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Amazing. Friendly, casual, energetic. I fit in really well.

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Good, I think it was quite similar across the whole company.

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • A lot of development, always open about shadowing opportunities, etc. Would have liked a bit more training in some parts, but overall it was really good

    4/5

    5/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Pretty good, I made lots of good friends. Though there were quite a few cliques.

    4/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Too expensive, I don't think I could have done it without my parent's support.

    2/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Good, lots of pubs and hangouts.

    4/5
