About You
I really enjoyed this Spring Insight Programme which was above my expectations. As a matter of fact, I think it really helped me confirm my willingness to work in an investment bank and more particularly at Rothschild.
I was amazed to see how important and very busy people dedicated time to us either in workshops ou during the shadow sessions. The analysts in GFA answered promptly to our questions.
The human ressources staff were very helpful to us, providing us a good overview of the organisation of the insight. So were all the analysts, just by saying we were taking part in the Spring Insight programme, they helped us with our researches for our project.
This spring Insight programme developed several useful skills such as presentation skills which is basically useful every day in my business studies. It also got me acquainted with websites such as Bloomberg or Thomson Reuters. On top of that it was very enriching as regards teamwork with other students from different backgrounds during our week project. Overall, this helped me confirm my willingness to work in an investment bank, finally knowing "what I would be signing for".
The Company
The insight was well structured. We had a presentation project we had to work on the evenings and present the last day. It gave us an overview of M&A, DCM and ECM. We also had the opportunity to take part in a community service afternoon in a park. Overall, this was a very busy week!
All the students were very friendly, as a foreigner I was a bit afraid but it was easy to fit in. Everyone was eager to learn more on GFA and willing to work.
The whole week, we were given a very personal training.
This insight played a key role in my decision to pursue a career in investment bank, even more than my corporate finance courses since I was finally able to see the everyday life of a Rothschild worker.
During the lunch, tea and more generally all the opportunities we had to talk with Rothschild workers, we could see how proud they were to work here. Most of them have been here for a very long time unlike what is the case in most investment banks.
This played a key role in my future career path.
Everything Else
This was unbelievable for me that Rothschild invested so much in me: I was provided accommodation and transport to come from France.
A lot!!
A lot!
Yes we took part into a community service afternoon in the London Wildlife Trust we also had a presentation about Rothschild in the Community.
Definitely!
