  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • It was a fantastic opportunity that i cannot recommend enough to anyone that is even vaguely interested in a career in finance. Rothschild was a fantastic place to gain an insight week,

  • Everyone that i interacted with was extremely helpful and seemed genuinely interested in me.

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • We had a project to work on and we received massive amounts of support for it if we asked. HR was fantastic and answered all questions, as did all the analysts, associates and the more senior bankers we spoke to.

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Coming from a non-finance degree, i learnt huge amounts from the insight week, not only in depth information about finance but an excellent workshop on presentations.

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • The insight was incredibly well structured, the only thing that could be made better was if there was a drinks event at the end of the week. But as whole, it was fantastic and logically structured.

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • Rothschild has an incredible culture and had a great atmosphere, that made you feel at ease almost immediately.

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • What most stands out for me was the morning of workshops on presenting. It was one of the most helpful events i have attended, as i will use the skill not only in my degree but also in whatever career i will pursue. I felt that the company invested huge amounts in me and the other interns.

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • We got the opportunity to work-shadow analysts in two different departments / sectors and this really gave me insight into the day to day life of working for the company.

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?
  • As the week progressed the culture of the company shone through. All the employees i spoke to were absolutely lovely, from directors to the COO.

  • It has made me want to pursue a career in investment banking, whereas before i was very unsure.

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?
  • I was reimbursed for the hotel for a week as well as all other travel expenses.


  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • Throughout the week there were multiple opportunities to meet employees from all departments of the company, both one on one and as a group.

  • Absolutely fantastic, cannot be faulted.

  • We were shown round the gym and volunteered at London Wildlife trust where employees at Rothschild often volunteer,
