    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • Incredible experience. The insight really allowed me to obtain a complete overview of how the Global Financial Advisory division works. From work shadowing in ECM and M&A to a group project where we had to pitch an M&A deal to a number of directors, I really fell like this experience allowed me to learn a lot. Furthermore, Rothschild has a fantastic culture, everyone was always looking forward to help and guide us, which is crucial for interns in order to learn and progress.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • I felt valued from the beginning to the end. No one at Rothschild will treat you in a negative manner, on the contrary. Everyone was impressed with our motivation and our early interest for investment banking. The fact that directors took the time to come along and listen to our group project, which was an M&A pitch, really shows that everyone within the firm was willing to give up some of their valuable time in order for us to progress and have an incredible experience.

  • We received guidance throughout the spring insight. Everyone was willing to help us or guide us when we had any doubts/questions on a particular subject, which really allowed me to learn a lot during these 5 days. When we had to prepare our group project, a number of analysts were willing to help us and give us some tips, which was a valuable help that really allowed us to produce a detailed and professional piece of work.

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • The various presentations we listened on M&A tactics, ECM, DCM etc., really allowed me to develop my skills beyond what I already knew. Furthermore, the work shadowing aloud me to link the theory to the practice, since it allowed to understand how analyst apply what they learned at university/trainings to their day to day work. Finally the group project aloud me to apply the knowledge I already possessed, allowing me to further develop these skills and understand how to use what I learned in a real life situation.
