The Role
The work wasn't the most interesting thing I have done, nor the most challenging, I did get a good insight into the working world and into Accenture and I was at most times busy.
People were glad to have me around once I had proven myself as a valuable member of the team.
Whenever there are things I don't understand clearly, my supervisor is always there to explain everything in details. They make work a lot easier for me.
It of course depends, some days, flat out, other more chilled. For the most part, busy enough not to get bored, but not so busy that I was stressed for any length of time.
The more I proved myself the more I got, I certainly wasn;t running the show but I was given a decent amount to get on and do.
Good working habits, organisation, a decent work ethic, people skills improved etc. In terms of consulting experiance, fairly little
The Company
A bit on the dull side, nothing Google-esk, but as we were on client site, you can't expect too much
Fairly well, I had work to do and I felt I could add value, maybe not in the way I first thought, but if you ask around you can always find stuff to do.
There was a one week training week. I wouldn't say it helped me particularly, but it was good fun. You kind of have to make of it what you will, if you seek out help and training you'll normally get it, informal training that is, I'm not sure about formal.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Company Parties/Events
The work I was doing wasn't very interesting, but Accenture's very big and fairly varied. If you're looking for a decent job, decent pay and decent hours then Accenture's your place, but if you want to really push yourself, learn a lot and get paid very well, Accenture may not be.
The Culture
Everyone was friendly, and we had a couple of parties as well as Intern things, and the odd impromptue night out.
London - there are less expensive and more expensive areas, you just have to find them.
Its London. You will find everything there. The nightlife is amazing but its expensive.
Yes. We make sure to have a night out very week. There were also some sports to get involved with.
