Vacation Scheme Intern Review

The Scheme was a memorable experience as I enjoyed high quality work and made connections across the firm. I greatly enjoyed it.

The Graduate Recruitment team were very welcoming and my department entrusted me with important work.

Graduate Recruitment, my department and other lawyers I met on my Scheme were always more than happy to spare some time for questions and guidance.

I have gained exposure to the practice area I was in, as well as greater awareness of skills such as drafting which will benefit me in law school, on my training contract and beyond.

The structure was great as the balance between spending time in a department, Graduate Recruitment activities and socials was excellent.

The atmosphere was brilliant - everyone was intelligent, friendly and ambitious.

There were interactive sessions such as a contract drafting workshop which helped us in our departments and will do so in the future. My team were excellent at explaining how they work to me, so that I could get maximum benefit from my tasks.

The Scheme enabled us to understand the culture and the work of the firm, and the time spent in a department really demonstrated a trainee's role.

The opportunities to meet numerous employees of the firm, complemented by working in my department, made it easy to understand the culture.

The content was very valuable as taking on trainee responsibilities demonstrated our suitability for the role.

I was paid for the week. Accommodation was not covered.

There were many networking opportunities organised through Graduate Recruitment. Lawyers of the firm were also very open to meeting for coffee informally also.

The networking was very well organised so everyone could get a chance to speak to lawyers from the firm. The social events were very relaxed which provided great opportunities for the interns to get to know each other better.

Trainees were happy to talk about the social activities such as the choir.
