  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I love my placement!, although its hard and challenging at times. To sum it up, it’s been a great experience and eye opener – that’s exactly what a placement is meant to be.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Amazing – everyone gets on with each other well and its environment where you have loads of interaction among colleagues who give continual feedback and advise

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • My line manager was always around to offer support or advise, whilst she was away on business trips I could always contact her via messenger! We have weekly meetings we’re we are able to discuss or raise concerns in private if there ever was the need to..

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Busy is an understatement….Certain parts of the year are hectic! – low on resources, urgent demands coming in before the end of the year – that’s life, u get the ups and downs!

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Started of slow and good amount of training, but as the months come by, u get given more and more responsibility and expectations – which is great. I can honestly say I feel as I’m part of the team and not just come intern who does the odd bit every now and then..

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • So far everything I’ve learnt at university has been put into practise. I’ve also gained a great insight into the working life and how time management plays a huge part on my job. Disney offer good amount of training/ support is always around when you need through colleagues or line manager.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • peaceful and enjoyable!. it wasn't noisy or disturbing OR dead silent! - bubbly would be a good term to use. everyone on my floor is nice and cheerful!

  • Very well organised – Disney has interns year after year so they know how to manage interns well.

  • They’ve invested time and resources to train us interns. We’ve also been given training guides and chances to improve our understand outside of work.

  • Very much! – I have work experience in one of the greatest if not the biggest company in the world.

  • Yupp – a lot of gathering / getting to know one another

  • Hammersmith / London is pretty expensive in general

  • London has the best nightlife in the country and there’s plenty of good places around!

  • Disney Volunteers is an on-going scheme which gives u the chance to help volunteer
