The Role
Part of the summer internship programme of 2014. Thoroughly enjoyed my 10 weeks. Good variety of work and well organised fun social events.
Colleagues were very welcoming and happy to help with any queries I had. Everyone trusted me and made me feel part of the team.
Had regular one to one meetings with my manager where he was able to evaluate my work and advise me going forward. Never felt like I was lost or had nothing to do.
Fairly busy. Had a project to be completed by the 9th week of the programme. Still enough time to organise coffee chats and to network with leaders in other departments.
I had full responsibility over my project and was allowed to make decisions on how I wanted to format and present it and the direction I wanted to go in. Was also given responsibility in day to day tasks that the team needed to be done in the month end reports.
The work I did will not necessarily help directly with university studies. It will however prepare me for work after my degree.
The Company
The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. Everyone open to answer any queries.
Very organised. Had a project set to me on my first day. Campus team were always available and set up a number of well organised social events.
I was given training courses in how to use the database software and we were given an extensive excel training session on the induction day.
Flexi Time
Subsidised/Company Gym
Met a number of people who had been at the company for many years who all expressed the ability to move.
The Culture
Campus team worked hard to make sure all the interns felt like a class. Everyone got on very well.
Brighton was quite expensive but not too excessive.
Plenty of bars and clubs to go to in Brighton. Very thriving.
Yes. Plently of clubs and places to go to in Brighton.
