    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • Greatly enjoyed the networking drinks with the trainees, really let us get a taste for the firm's culture. Everybody was really friendly and willing to elaborate on their advice.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?

    • The firm gave us a lot of resources such as booklets and worksheets throughout the insight to help us learn how to stand out in the application process.

    • We were kept in constant contact with the HR team who were there to provide help whenever needed whilst we were given a lot of exposure to trainees, associates and partners.

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

    • It will definitely help with applications during my penultimate year, I know have a better understanding of the practice groups within the firm, the corporate workshop will especially help with handling potential tasks in assessment centres.

    • Everything followed the timetable without being rushed.

    • Very friendly and interactive.

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?

    • They gave us workshops to help develop our skills and learn abut what it means to be a commercial lawyer. Trainees were always around to help us individually and in smaller groups.

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?

    • The four hours of shadowing a trainee individually really helped get to grips with what they do in their day-to-day life with the firm. Would have loved to have had more time!

    • A lot of opportunities were given to interact with the solicitors within the firm which let you understand how they see the company culture.

    • Very, it gave an insight into the different departments in a commercial law firm and the working life style to help me decide my future career path

    • I was reimbursed expenses

    • A lot, there were chances to network at every meal time and at the gallery visit on the first day!
