The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed my placement at ASOS. Despite being hard work,
Fully, I was never 'treated like an intern' and was often mistaken for a full time member of the team.
My manager and supervisor were always available and willing to discuss any issues I had and encouraged me to voice such issues with them so they could help.
Very, very, very busy! The hours were tough, however I do think being thrown in at the deep end is a good way to spend a placement year as you learn your boundaries and get an idea of where you personally stand with the work:life balance.
I was treated like any other full time member of the team so was given great responsibility, but it was built up slowly so as I felt more comfortable I would be given more to do.
Skills for life sums it up!
The Company
Busy, fast paced, young, hardworking, creative
Brilliantly organised.
I went on the same courses as all full time members of the department went on and also went to the Intern Masterclass sessions which are run once a month.

I watched others around me get promoted, move to new departments and be given new challenges throughout my placement year so would definitely recommend people to work at ASOS.
The Culture
You get out of it what you put in!
Local pubs have special deals for ASOS employees so that helps after work drinks prices drop and if you search around, you can find affordable places.
Better to go to central London than stay near the office.
Yes such as sports, socials and charity work
