  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I thoroughly enjoyed my placement at ASOS. Despite being hard work,

  • Fully, I was never 'treated like an intern' and was often mistaken for a full time member of the team.

  • My manager and supervisor were always available and willing to discuss any issues I had and encouraged me to voice such issues with them so they could help.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Very, very, very busy! The hours were tough, however I do think being thrown in at the deep end is a good way to spend a placement year as you learn your boundaries and get an idea of where you personally stand with the work:life balance.

  • I was treated like any other full time member of the team so was given great responsibility, but it was built up slowly so as I felt more comfortable I would be given more to do.

  • I went on the same courses as all full time members of the department went on and also went to the Intern Masterclass sessions which are run once a month.

  • I watched others around me get promoted, move to new departments and be given new challenges throughout my placement year so would definitely recommend people to work at ASOS.

  • You get out of it what you put in!

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Local pubs have special deals for ASOS employees so that helps after work drinks prices drop and if you search around, you can find affordable places.

  • Better to go to central London than stay near the office.
