The Role
I had a brilliant 10-weeks working at YouView, both the job and the atmosphere was thoroughly enjoyable.
All the staff were incredibly friendly and made the whole experience incredibly fun and rewarding.
My supervisors and fellow co-workers helped guide me through all of my tasks and objectives.
I was set a list of tasks and objectives on my first day which kept me busy for the entire internship. On top of that I was able to help out with the day to day running of the marketing team.
I was trusted with keeping the promotional aspects of the website up to date as well as liaising with external agencies such as BBC, ITV, Channel 4, BT, TalkTalk, etc.
I was able to put all my knowledge from university into good work at YouView and the hands on experience that I received will heavily benefit any future employment.
The Company
Along with a fun and friendly atmosphere, there was also multiple events and and work nights out that kept everyone entertained.
Considering this was the first time YouView have run an internship scheme it was set up incredibly well and everything ran very smoothly.
I was given hands on training from industry professionals who were able to help me with any and all problems that I came across throughout the internship.
Flexi Time
Sports and Social Club
Company Parties/Events
I managed to earn a job through my internship with YouView at a partner company, starting only a few weeks after I finished.
The Culture
We organised a fair few intern nights out and went out for lots of lunches and a cheeky drink or two after work.
I managed to stay with family an friends throughout my internship which kept my costs down, but food and drink wise the prices were very reasonable.
As stated before, we went for a number of nights out with fellow interns and generally enjoyed the bar scene.
Yes. There was 7-a-side football each week and many other social gatherings occurring most weeks.
