The Role
I found the work very interesting and there were many opportunities available for me to further my understanding of what the company did. I enjoyed the relaxed and helpful nature of my colleagues and the work I did.
My colleagues where friendly and welcomed me from the very start. The work that I was involved in for them I felt was helpful to them, this made me feel valued.
My team leader, the project leads and project managers that I did work for were very helpful for any questions that I had.
There was a very good balance with the work I was doing once I had got up to speed with what was going on. At some points it did vary due to others holidays and what was required and when.
I was given the lead on some parts within a project and was left to get it sorted and would report back progress at either significant stages or if the project lead wanted an update.
The skills that I gained will help me tremendously in real life and the work place because of the work that I was doing. Some of the skill will help with my degree such as time management and communication skill that will help with group projects, the work I did was in a slightly different area to my degree but still very useful.
The Company
The office that I was in seemed like a quieter office that others that I saw while i was there. I found it to be a good thing, everyone was friendly and would talk but made sure they didn't distract everyone else and having your own desk gave you somewhere that you knew you could go to do work and the people around you were relevant to the work you were doing if you did have a question.
It seemed well organised once they knew what you could do or wanted to do and they would try and organise it so that you could do it. To start with it seemed as through they were unsure on what work they could give me but once I got started.
To help me develop in diffrent aspects they gave me the time that I needed to for getting up-to-date on work and giving me to time to do that training that I needed and training that was useful.

It looks like I am on track to have a graduate placement with then as long as my degree and there recruitment tests goes well. I am put off slightly because they are closing the site at Fort Halsted and moving down to Porton which isn't as appealing because of how far away from London it is, being near London is something I liked about being at the Fort.
The Culture
It was very good, I lived with 3 other placement students and visited 2 other student houses frequently for BBQ's, meals, movie nights, as well as going shopping , cinema and nights out with them into London normally. Also lunch at work and some of the work social events were attended.
It was quite expensive but the wage received would cover it but there were benifits to being in a more expensive area of the country.
Where I worked not great but London was easy to reach and once you had an idea of where to go the night life was good there was also plenty to do around the area .
Work had many different social groups you could join that did activities outside of work, also in the surrounding area there was plently to do.
