    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I found this summer placement enjoyable and interesting, definitely a valuable experience.

  • My colleagues were friendly and welcoming, and always willing to help, although some were more friendly than others.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • My team managers were supportive and helpful, as well as allowing me the freedom and trust to work independently.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • I would have liked to have been kept slightly busier overall, however some days were a lot busier than others.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was surprised and pleased by the level of responsibility I was given during this placement.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • The training and information received was useful and relevant to the job I was carrying out. I am not sure to what extent I will be able to use them in my degree studies but it has definitely helped in securing a further summer placement next year and a guaranteed interview once graduated.

  • The atmosphere was generally relaxed, friendly and enjoyable, but obviously became quiet at busy times.

  • The work placement was set up very well and I did not encounter any issues in this respect.

  • I was able to attend a number of seminars during my work placement, which were useful and informative.

  • I have secured a further summer placement next year, and a guaranteed interview once I graduate.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • I was not able to have much experience of this, but there seemed to be a good social scene.

  • I was staying with a family member and was not able to socialise much.
