  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?

    • Was not very enjoyable, very tedious and did not learn a lot. Would not recommend.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?

    • They appreciated the work I did but there was not a lot to do and it was repetitive monthly tasks that anyone could do.

    • They were happy to answer any questions but did not give me much to do.

    • Only busy for about 40% of the time. The rest of the time, I had nothing to do.

    • Adequate responsibility for the monthly closing tasks that I was doing.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

    • Learnt how to use SAP which is useful and used Excel on a daily basis. No new skills otherwise.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?

    • People were generally friendly but there was a language barrier since they all spoke Spanish and I didn't.

    • 2 week handover from the previous placement student was good however, there was no company induction or follow up events.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?

    • A few training courses to attend over the year. Free language classes available for 1 hour a week, however, these were not very good.

    • Would not want to work there again. Not my kind of environment. Perhaps in a different office.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?

    • The placement students tend to group together and organise things on their own.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?

    • Relatively cheap. Rent 500€. Transport 35€. Salary just enough to cover expenses.

    • No nightlife but close to centre.

    • A few charity runs and sports teams.
