  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Everyone - at every level - was really friendly and willing to answer questions.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • You felt like people wanted you to be there, and actively sought to get to know you.

    4/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • As it was one day this does not really apply.

    3/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • As it was one day this does not really apply.

    3/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • The presentations about what the firm did and what trainees did at the firm was really useful and helped me understand what being a trainee solicitor in a City firm is like.

    4/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Everyone was really friendly, approachable and helpful.

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Very well organised. All the different activities flowed smoothly. Particularly as the firm has just moved offices.

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Despite it being a day you felt they were investing a lot of time in you, particularly having partners attend the lunch.

    5/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • National Travel

    3/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • I choose to accept a training contract with this firm mainly because of the open day, and the fact the firm was the same on my assessment centre.

    5/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Not really applicable as was only there a day - but am aware the vacation scheme students had a social scene.

    3/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • However, the firm is a City based law firm so this is not surprising.

    2/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Good - there are a number of pubs, restaurants and bars within walking distance of the office. The office also benefits from being on St Katharine's Dock which is always nice on a summer's evening.

    4/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Not really applicable as only there one day.

    3/5
