    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • The work was fun and I had enough freedom to choose what I wanted to do that I could make sure I was doing something interesting. I felt like they wanted me to enjoy myself as well as doing something useful. The general atmosphere there was also great, and there were groups of people that got together to do all sorts of non-work things.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • The work I was doing was stuff that people genuinely wanted done, and they seemed to appreciate it...

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • I was given guidance when I needed it, but not too much.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Most of the time I was the right amount of busy, but there were a couple of weeks where I didn't have a lot to do as my work relied on information from other people.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was the only person working on my projects.

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I probably won't go into this exact line of work, but I suspect that I gained a lot of transferable skills. Hard to tell now though...

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • They definitely tried to make sure that I was doing interesting things that would teach me stuff, and I got a choice between projects so that I could choose what I wanted to learn.
